Hakimi denies the charge of rape and affirms his confidence in his innocence

Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi, star of Paris Saint-Germain and the national team, confirmed that the charge against him of attempting to rape a 24-year-old girl is "false and unjust," expressing his full confidence in his innocence and the issuance of a judicial ruling that clears his name.
This came during a special interview with "Canal Plus," where Hakimi said: "I am calm, this is a false, horrific, and unjust accusation, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone; it is an incorrect accusation." He added: "I am confident that the truth will come out, and I do not blame myself, for those who know me understand that. I focus on my family and football, and I await the revelation of the truth from those who have falsely accused me."
The details of the case date back to February 2023, when the young French woman filed a complaint against the player, claiming she was subjected to an attempted rape at his home. The case has recently returned to the spotlight after the public prosecutor in "Nanterre" requested to refer Hakimi to the criminal court to consider the charge.
For his part, Hakimi expressed his confidence in the integrity of the French judiciary, stating that he is taking the legal proceedings seriously, but emphasized that this charge "should not affect his sports career or personal life."
It is worth noting that the Moroccan star continues his training with his team, awaiting developments in the judicial investigation while enjoying the support of his fans and teammates.
