Germany urges NATO to consider Russia as "the biggest threat."

The crisis between Russia and NATO countries is escalating unprecedentedly, with Moscow expressing concerns about NATO's activities near its western borders, considering it a threat to regional stability, while the alliance justifies its movements as necessary to "deter Russian aggression."
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius calls on defense ministers of NATO member countries ahead of their upcoming summit to classify Russia as "the most serious threat to the alliance."
According to Reuters, the German minister stated that Germany will need to strengthen its military forces by between 50,000 and 60,000 soldiers, in line with NATO's new objectives.
Pistorius confirmed last week that the first batch of long-range weapons, manufactured in Ukraine with German financial support, will be delivered to the Ukrainian army in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Moscow considered Pistorius' statements about the new Ukrainian weapons as aiming "to achieve more of a media and intimidation impact rather than being capable of changing the reality of battles on the ground."
