The tropical storm "Bualoi" and the heavy rains that have been ongoing since October 2 have caused widespread flooding affecting 11 provinces in Cambodia, leading to more than 33,000 families being affected, and thousands of families being forced to leave their homes in search of safer areas.
According to official reports, the recent waves of flooding are a continuation of natural disasters that the country experienced between July and September, which resulted in the deaths of 19 people due to floods and landslides.
The Cambodian authorities are working to provide temporary shelters and offer food and medical assistance to those affected, amid warnings of continued adverse weather conditions in the coming days.
