Expected Meeting Between Trump and North Korean Leader

American media reported that officials in President Donald Trump's administration secretly discussed the possibility of holding a new meeting between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
In this context, South Korean Unification Minister Chung Dong-young stated on Friday that there is a "high likelihood" of the meeting taking place next week. The minister explained that Pyongyang "shows interest in the United States," pointing out that there are **multiple signals indicating strong possibilities for a meeting between the two leaders".
The anticipated meeting is expected to coincide with Trump's visit to South Korea next Wednesday, where he will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
It is worth noting that the last meeting between Trump and Kim took place in 2019 during the first presidential term of the American president.
