In an exciting and thrilling match, the summit of the 29th round of the German league between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund ended in a 2-2 draw at the "Allianz Arena," keeping Bayern's lead intact in the competition. Borussia Dortmund opened the scoring in the 48th minute through a header by Maximilian Beier, who converted a wonderful cross from Julian Raisson into an early goal. However, Bayern quickly responded with an equalizer in the 65th minute by Rafael Geriro, before Serge Gnabry added the lead in the 69th minute after a clever pass. Dortmund had a different opinion, as Erling Haaland managed to equalize in the 75th minute after a fantastic follow-up of a rebound from the goalkeeper Orbej, bringing the match back to square one. The following minutes witnessed excitement from both sides, with mutual chances, notably a dangerous opportunity for Bayern Munich in the 77th minute when Harry Kane struck a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, but it went wide of the post. In the 80th minute, the Dortmund goalkeeper saved a strong shot from Thomas Muller on the edge of the penalty area. In the final moments of the match, Bayern Munich came close to securing the win, but Michael Olise's shot in the 90 + 3 minute went wide of the post, as both teams snatched a point from the thrilling match. Thus, Bayern Munich remains at the top of the German league with 69 points from 21 wins and 6 draws, while Borussia Dortmund's tally froze at 42 points in eighth place.
