Erdogan affirms at the Shanghai Summit support for the unity of Syria and calls for international justice towards Gaza

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his participation in the expanded session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Tianjin, China, affirmed that maintaining the unity and stability of Syria serves the interests of the entire region, emphasizing his country's rejection of any attempts that threaten the security and safety of Syrian territory.

Erdogan stated, according to what was reported by the Anadolu Agency, that Turkey will continue to stand against any attempt that threatens the security of Syria, noting that his country's vision is based on resolving crises through dialogue and diplomacy, and respecting the sovereignty of states and the integrity of their territories.

In discussing international issues, Erdogan emphasized that the world bears a moral and humanitarian responsibility to confront the atrocities committed by Israel against civilians in the Gaza Strip, affirming that children, infants, and the elderly are dying of hunger amid unjustified international silence, calling for the United Nations to become a true platform for global justice in the face of the injustices faced by the Palestinian people.
