Axios: Paris Meeting Between Witkoff and Qataris on Gaza Agreement Without Significant Progress

Sources from "Axios" reported that U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff met today, Thursday, in Paris with senior Qatari officials to discuss a potential agreement for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners, but the negotiations did not yield any significant progress.
Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari confirmed on Tuesday the continuation of communications with mediators to reach a "different model" for indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas, explaining that Israel has not yet responded to the ceasefire proposal.
The diplomatic efforts led by Qatar and Egypt continue, which previously included a proposal for a 60-day ceasefire that Hamas agreed to, while Israel has not announced its position on it. Meanwhile, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti and Palestinian Vice President Hussein Sheikh emphasized the need to pressure Israel to accept the proposal to end the war.
