In an official visit to Iraq, President Joseph Aoun and the accompanying delegation arrived at Baghdad International Airport, where they were welcomed by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani.

In his speech, President Aoun said that this visit is an opportunity to thank the Iraqi leadership and people for their continuous support to Lebanon and the valuable assistance they provided, especially during the recent war.

He expressed Beirut's appreciation for the Iraqi oil shipments, which have been a vital support during the difficult circumstances his country has faced.
