Pilgrims continue to flock to the Mina holy site to observe "Yawm al-Tarwiyah," amidst assurances from the Saudi media that all entry points are secure.


Around one and a half million Muslims have gathered in the holy city of Mecca, facing high temperatures and strict measures against irregular pilgrims.

This comes amid reinforcements of preventive measures against heatstroke, following 1301 deaths recorded last season when temperatures reached 51.8 degrees Celsius.

Saudi authorities have mobilized over 250,000 employees, coordinated among more than 40 government entities, and implemented measures such as increasing shaded areas by 50,000 square meters, deploying thousands of medical teams, and providing over 400 cooling units.
