UN spokesperson Stefan Dujarric said on Friday that around 880 Palestinian families have been displaced across the West Bank due to settler attacks and imposed restrictions.
He added that humanitarian organizations and agencies are warning of coercive practices by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank, amid escalating field tensions.
In a separate context, Dujarric noted the continued incidents of obstruction and aggressive behavior directed against UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon, explaining that individuals from the Israeli army pointed their weapons at one of the peacekeeping personnel last Tuesday.
The UN spokesperson reiterated the necessity to stop any intimidation or interference against UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon, and to ensure their safety and the performance of their duties according to their international mandate.
