The Syrian Civil Defense announced through its official Telegram account that the Damascus-Homs international road is fully open, with light snowfall in the area.
The Syrian Civil Defense urged drivers to reduce speed, ensure vehicle readiness, maintain a safe distance, and postpone travel until the afternoon due to ice formation on parts of the road.
The Syrian Civil Defense also confirmed that its teams have spread rock salt on the road to prevent emergencies and reduce accidents, and noted that in case of necessity, emergency services in Damascus and its countryside can be contacted via WhatsApp at: +90 531 633 80 40.
