The Syrian Civil Defense announced today, Friday, the dispatch of a response mission consisting of specialized teams to the countryside of Raqqa and northern Hasakah in conjunction with the agricultural crop harvesting season, which annually witnesses an increase in fire rates, as part of the emergency response plan for agricultural crop fires in coordination with the Ministry of Emergencies and Disasters. The Civil Defense explained through its Telegram channel that the response mission included 34 trained members specialized in dealing with agricultural crop fires, along with more than ten vehicles equipped with all necessary firefighting equipment, personal protective gear, and logistical support distributed at 3 points in Tell Abyad in Raqqa countryside and 4 points in Ras al-Ain in Hasakah countryside. The Civil Defense pointed out that this mission is part of a comprehensive plan developed by Civil Defense teams in coordination with the Ministry of Emergencies and Disasters to respond to the seasonal fire wave, including establishing coordination channels with local and community authorities, creating sub-operations rooms to facilitate decision-making and expedite response, and deploying advanced response points near sensitive agricultural areas to ensure quick access and high readiness to deal with any emergencies. The Civil Defense affirmed that these efforts are carried out in the continuous commitment to protect national food security, support the stability of agricultural communities, through rapid and effective response to any emergency that may affect crops. The Civil Defense reiterated its full commitment to respond to all challenges that affect the lives and livelihoods of the population, emphasizing that protecting agricultural crops is a national priority no less important than protecting lives and properties.
