Arson at Mosque in Bexhaven, UK Amid Concerns of Hate Crime

The British police announced that a small mosque in the town of Bexhaven on the southern coast of the United Kingdom was subjected to arson while two people were inside the building.
According to a report by CNN, emergency teams rushed to the mosque before 10 PM local time on Saturday after two masked individuals attempted to break in, poured gasoline on the entrance and on the mosque leader's car, and set it on fire, resulting in flames and a loud explosion. The two men inside the mosque, both in their sixties, managed to escape without injuries.
The fire caused material damage and raised concerns within the local Muslim community. The British police have opened an investigation into the incident as a potential hate crime. The mosque serves about 15 worshippers and is a quiet social center in the town.
