The Brazilian Football Confederation announced today, Monday, that Italian Carlo Ancelotti will take over as the national team coach after leaving Real Madrid at the end of the current season. The Confederation stated: "The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, announced today, Monday, the signing of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti." Ancelotti spent four highly successful years in his second stint with the Spanish giants, but the team is expected to finish this season without any titles. Earlier today, Spanish media reported that former midfielder Xabi Alonso will become the next coach of Real Madrid, the competitor in the Spanish top league, with a three-year contract when he leaves Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.
