US Medical Authorities Reveal Official Cause of Rihanna's Father's Death

Official medical reports in the United States revealed details of the death of Ronald Fenty, the father of global star Rihanna, who passed away on May 30th at the age of 70 after suffering from several illnesses.

The death certificate, published by "TMZ", stated that the cause of death was attributed to "acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer, bacterial pneumonia, acute kidney failure, and acute tubular necrosis".

Fenty was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles late last May, where his health rapidly deteriorated. Close sources reported that his family, including his son Rajad, Rihanna's brother, were by his side during his final days.

Although Rihanna has not issued any official statement yet, media reports mentioned her presence during his transfer to the hospital, despite their strained relationship in recent years.

Local network "Starcom" in Barbados, Rihanna's hometown, was the first to announce the death, stating that Fenty passed away after a "short illness".

Ronald Fenty comes from a well-known artistic family, having Rihanna with his ex-wife Monica Braithwaite, in addition to two other sons, Rajad and Rory, and three children from previous relationships.

The family lived in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, before the parents separated in 2002 when Rihanna was fourteen.

Rihanna's relationship with her father witnessed periods of tension, especially after his controversial statements to the media regarding the assault incident she experienced with Chris Brown in 2009, which she later described as "hard to comprehend". However, she clarified in a 2012 TV interview that she had "repaired her relationship with him", despite her previous criticisms of him.

Their disagreements escalated in 2019 when Rihanna filed a lawsuit against her father, accusing him of exploiting her name to establish a company called "Fenty Entertainment", before withdrawing the lawsuit in 2021 prior to the trial.

According to "TMZ" reports, Fenty passed away surrounded by his family, while funeral details remained private at the family's request.
