In a scene that brought joy to residents and turned out to be a fulfillment of a man's wish who recently passed away from Alzheimer's disease, a helicopter dropped thousands of dollars on passersby in the American city of Detroit.

Eyewitnesses said that a helicopter was hovering in the Gratiot Avenue and Conner Street area and dropped thousands of dollars in cash on passersby, bringing a sudden and strange joy to the residents.

Lisa Naif, an employee of a company near the scene of the incident, estimated that thousands of dollars were dropped from the helicopter, according to "The Detroit News" website.

Naif added that the police arrived and closed a part of Gratiot Avenue for about 30 minutes.

It appears that dropping the money was the last wish of the owner of a nearby car wash, as Naif said that the man recently passed away due to Alzheimer's disease, and his funeral was on Friday.
