Dima Bayaa joins the series "The King's Family" after Amal Arafa's withdrawal

The Syrian drama is preparing for the Ramadan 2026 season with a massive work titled "The King's Family" directed by Mohamed Abdel Aziz, following the wide controversy sparked by the sudden withdrawal of star Amal Arafa from the project.
Recently, it was announced that star Dima Bayaa has joined the cast to portray the character "Salwa", the eldest daughter of Jabri Al-Malik (artist Saloom Haddad).
Bayaa plays the role of "Salwa", a girl who belongs to a large family divided between two wives and several children, with Saloom Haddad portraying the father "Jabri Al-Malik", while Nadine Khouri and Fadia Khattab play the roles of the two wives.
The character enjoys a prominent dramatic space, as it intersects with the main lines of the story and reflects the social and political transformations addressed by the work, giving Dima Bayaa the opportunity to deliver a different performance within a social drama with a broad human dimension.
