Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council member Major General Sultan Al-Aradah stated today, Monday, that the Houthi group rejects peace efforts through its military escalation and undermining proposed initiatives, warning of the repercussions on waterways and the global economy.
Al-Aradah called for international pressure on the group to halt the escalation, expressing hope that the international community would take responsibility towards Yemen and support the path to stability.
He considered the designation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization a positive step, in light of what he described as its support for the Houthis, noting that the meeting also discussed ways to enhance relations with the European side and support humanitarian and economic efforts in the country.
