Farmers in Quneitra Governorate in southern Syria reported today, Monday, that Israeli aircraft sprayed chemicals on agricultural lands between late January and February 2026, leading to the wilting of crops just days after the spraying.

The farmers confirmed that they lost dozens of hectares of arable land as a result of the incident.

Similar accusations have previously been directed at the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, as well as at Israeli settlers in the West Bank, in cases related to damaging agricultural lands through the use of chemicals.
