Airstrike Targets Hashd al-Shaabi Positions in Iraq, Causing Casualties

The Security Media Cell in Iraq announced on Saturday that positions belonging to the Hashd al-Shaabi were targeted by an airstrike carried out by unidentified aircraft.

The cell clarified that the attack targeted the headquarters of Brigade 40 in the Hashd al-Shaabi, in addition to Battalion 33, resulting in the death of one fighter and injuries to three others, along with material damage at the two sites.

No official entities have yet announced the identity of the party behind the attack, at a time when the region is witnessing increasing military escalation.
