Ahmed Fahmy and Amira Farag announce their separation after 28 years of marriage

Retired artist Amira Farag announced her separation from her husband, artist Ahmed Fahmy, after a 28-year marriage. During their marriage, they were blessed with two sons, "Omar" and "Hassan". The announcement came during her appearance on a TV show, following rumors about tension in their relationship in recent times.

Amira confirmed that the separation was done peacefully, maintaining mutual respect between them, especially with their sons who are now young adults. She refrained from revealing the reasons for the separation, while Ahmed Fahmy chose not to comment on the matter, as he is accustomed to protecting his family life from the media spotlight.

It is worth mentioning that the couple's love story began at a young age when Amira frequented the Egyptian Opera House and Fahmy took his first steps in the music and singing field. She was 17 years old at the time, and their love developed leading to their marriage in 1997 after a four-year engagement.

During that period, Amira Farag studied media at the Faculty of Arts and aspired to enter the entertainment industry, but she dedicated herself to the family at her husband's request, especially after the birth of their first son, "Omar". She also worked as a TV correspondent for a while before completely leaving work to raise their second son, "Hassan".

Throughout their marriage, the couple was keen on staying away from the limelight. Fahmy stipulated from the beginning that Amira should stay away from the entertainment industry to focus on her family life, a commitment she adhered to until their recent separation.
