The hoarseness of the voice is a warning sign for these diseases... What are they?

The Professional Association of Ear, Nose, and Throat Doctors in Germany stated that "hoarseness" has several causes, some of which are simple and others are serious.
The association explained that "simple causes of hoarseness include colds, and it can also be a side effect of some medications such as cortisone sprays used to treat asthma."
Hoarseness can also indicate serious conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), laryngopharyngeal reflux, vocal cord paralysis, and throat cancer.
Therefore, it is advisable to consult a doctor if hoarseness persists for a long period, especially if there is no clear explanation, and if it is accompanied by other symptoms.
Accompanying symptoms may include complete loss of voice, difficulty swallowing and breathing, feeling of a lump in the throat, unexplained weight loss, persistent fatigue, and decreased physical endurance.
