In an unexpected artistic surprise, the Egyptian star Amr Diab released his latest musical album titled "Ibtadina" after a two-year absence from the music scene.
This comes after his previous album "Makanak" was released in 2023 and was not available on free platforms due to his contract with a private platform.
Since the album was released in the early hours, the name of "Al-Hadaba" (Amr Diab) has been dominating search engines and social media, with the songs of "Ibtadina" widely spreading and intensively listened to by Amr Diab's fans in the Arab world.
The album holds a special surprise as Amr Diab collaborates with his sons Jana and Abdullah in singing for the first time, adding a new and distinctive flavor to the work.
Jana performed the song "Khatfoni" which opened the album, with lyrics written by the poet Tamer Hussein in collaboration with her. Abdullah Diab also participated in the song "Yalla", with lyrics by Tamer Hussein and composed by Aziz El Shafei.
The album also marks a return to collaboration with the composer Amr Mostafa after years of artistic and personal estrangement between them, as well as a new collaboration with the music arranger Adel Hakki, who had been absent from "Al-Hadaba's" works for a while despite previous great successes.
In another surprise, Amr Diab enlisted the young lyricist Menna El-Qai'i who wrote the song "Ya Bakhitah" for him. In "Ibtadina", Diab relied on new and different music that he had not presented before, focusing on fast-paced and cheerful songs away from the dramatic style.
The album includes 15 diverse songs, including: "Khatfoni, Yalla, Isharat, Qaflaty Al-La'bah, Khabar Abyad, Ma Taqlaqush, Baba, Habibati Malak, Helonahm, Ya Bakhitah, Ibtadina, Shaif Amar, Dayman Fakir, Arjelah, Malish Bedil".
It is worth mentioning that the album "Makanak", released two years ago, achieved great success and topped listening charts in Egypt and the Arab world across various music platforms and applications.
