Violent clashes at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Berlin, with injuries to security personnel and protesters.

The German capital Berlin witnessed violent clashes last night, Thursday, May 15, between pro-Palestinian protesters and the police during a "Nakba" memorial event, resulting in injuries and arrests.
The police reported this morning, Friday, on the "X" platform that "protesters dragged and assaulted a police officer," necessitating his transfer to the hospital. They also announced the arrest of "at least 50 people" in connection with the events.
According to the police, around 1100 people participated in the demonstration held in the Kreuzberg district, carrying anti-Israel slogans and condemning the war in Gaza. However, the gathering witnessed "significant acts of violence," according to the official police spokesperson, Florian Naas, who noted that the protesters "threw bottles and stones" at the security forces.
Ten police officers were injured in the clashes, in addition to a number of protesters who received medical care from Berlin's fire department before being taken to hospitals. The exact number of injured protesters has not been disclosed.
The police have launched investigations into several charges, including "serious bodily harm, disturbing public order, assault, and resistance against law enforcement authorities." Security forces managed to disperse the demonstration after the violence escalated, with plans to provide further details later.
Meanwhile, Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner condemned the attacks on security forces, stating: "Attacking Berlin police officers during a demonstration in Kreuzberg is nothing but a brutal and cowardly act of violence. Anyone who attacks law enforcement is attacking our constitutional state, and therefore attacking all of us."
