Turkish Foreign Minister: Necessity of Continuing to Stand by the Syrian People

The Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, affirmed today, Saturday, the necessity of continuing to stand by the Syrian people, in conjunction with the process of easing the sanctions imposed on Syria.
The Anadolu Agency quoted Fidan as saying during the opening session of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul: "We welcome Syria's return to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation".
Fidan pointed out that Istanbul is one of the most important centers for regional and international peace efforts in the region, emphasizing that Turkey, under its current periodic chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, will continue to amplify the voice of the Islamic world, prioritize the establishment of global justice, and stand firmly against injustice.
