The Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, emphasized the need to support the new administration in Syria during the Munich Security Conference on Friday.
This came during his meeting with his British counterpart, David Lamy, on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference, which kicked off in Munich today with the participation of a number of heads of states and governments, ministers, and senior officials.
Fidan also discussed the importance of political unity in Syria during the meeting, stressing the necessity of supporting the new Syrian administration, according to sources in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as reported by Anadolu Agency.
Fidan also stressed the importance of making the ceasefire in Gaza permanent to bring peace to the region.
Sources mentioned that the meeting also addressed issues related to the Russo-Ukrainian war.
