Touching Moments in Farewell to Ziad Rahbani... Majida El Roumi Kneels in Sorrow Before Fairuz

In a moment filled with emotion and respect, during the mourning ceremony before the burial of the late Lebanese artist Ziad Rahbani, Mrs. Majida El Roumi attended to offer her condolences to his family and to Fairuz.

Upon her arrival in front of Fairuz, Majida El Roumi placed her bag on the ground and knelt at her feet as a token of great respect and love.


Sadness overshadowed all Lebanese people today, Monday, bidding farewell to the music composer Ziad Rahbani. A grand funeral was held, attended by everyone. Since early morning, thousands of fans and admirers of the late music composer Ziad Rahbani gathered in front of Khoury Hospital in the Hamra area of Lebanon to bid him farewell with flowers, holding up his picture and applauding loudly in front of the hospital.

Then the funeral procession of the late Ziad Rahbani proceeded through Hamra Street amidst applause from all his fans and audience, who accompanied him on both sides, throwing flowers and ululating.

The body of the late music composer Ziad Rahbani arrived at the Church of Saint Mary in Kfaryassine for his funeral prayer. The star Fairuz participated in the funeral procession of her son Ziad Rahbani, with his sister Rima by her side.
