The president performs the Eid al-Adha prayer at the People's Palace in Damascus.

The Syrian President, Ahmed Al-Shar'a, performed the Eid al-Adha prayer this morning, Friday, at the People's Palace in the capital, Damascus.
Several ministers and officials of the state, along with leaders of the Syrian army, representatives of Arab tribes, and Syrian citizens participated in the prayer.
After the prayer, President Al-Shar'a received congratulations on the occasion of Eid from Syrian government ministers, officers of the Ministry of Defense, social dignitaries, and religious scholars.
President Al-Shar'a congratulated the Syrian people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha in a video message broadcasted by the Syrian Arab Republic Presidency this morning.
President Al-Shar'a said: "Dear Syrian people in villages, towns, cities, and displacement camps, honorable pilgrims, may you be well every year."
He added: "This Eid passes as Syria, by the grace of God, is recovering from its suffering over the past 14 years. I ask Allah to bless you all with unity, love, and goodness, by the grace of God."
