In a concerning development regarding her health, the President of the Kuwaiti Union for Artistic and Theatrical Production revealed in a special statement that the esteemed Kuwaiti artist Hayat Al-Fahad has been in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Kuwait for about two weeks, after suffering a sudden stroke following a catheterization procedure.
The union president, Abdul Aziz Al-Rashed, explained that the symptoms of the stroke began to appear just one day after the catheterization, which necessitated her immediate transfer to the intensive care unit, where she is under close and intensive monitoring by the medical staff.
In a notable development, Al-Rashed indicated that there is a plan to transfer Hayat Al-Fahad, who is 77 years old, abroad via medical evacuation to continue her treatment in a specialized hospital, in case suitable treatment cannot be provided within Kuwait.
Al-Rashed confirmed that the artist's condition is being monitored at the highest level by officials, including the Ministers of Health and Information, amid the state's full commitment to ensuring the best possible healthcare for her.
He noted that visits are still prohibited to maintain her delicate health condition.
