Patriarch Rai Condemns Terrorist Bombing at St. Elias Church and Calls for Peace through Love

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai expressed his strong condemnation of the terrorist bombing that targeted St. Elias Church in the Dwelaa area of Damascus, emphasizing the need to promote values of tolerance and respect for others to achieve stability in Syria and the region.
A statement issued by the media office of Patriarch Rai, as reported by the Lebanese National News Agency, stated: "His Beatitude Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai was saddened by the terrorist bombing that took place yesterday inside St. Elias Church in Dwelaa in the Syrian capital, Damascus".
The statement added that the Patriarch condemns all forms of violence and attacks on places of worship and innocent people, calling for "raising prayers and working internally and externally to promote the language of love, dialogue, and respect for others, to bring about peace not only in Syria but in all countries of the region".
Patriarch Rai emphasized that the only solution to crises lies in rejecting hatred and embracing dialogue, ensuring a safe coexistence for all components of society.
