Grand Mufti Condemns Terrorist Attack on Mar Elias Church in the Dwaila Area of Damascus

The Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic, Sheikh Osama al-Rifai, condemned today, Monday, the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Elias Church in the Dwaila area of Damascus yesterday.
Sheikh Rifai said in a statement posted on his Facebook page: "We received with great sorrow the news of the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Elias Church, and we denounce this unjustified act".
He added: "We reaffirm our firm stance against violence, terrorism, and criminal acts regardless of the motives and reasons, and we emphasize our complete rejection of targeting places of worship and terrorizing the peaceful".
The Mufti also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and his wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
