The Ministry of Economy and Industry has allowed the establishment of water filtration and bottling plants on all Syrian territories, whether the water source is underground well, spring, surface river, or lake. The ministry's decision includes granting the applicant interested in establishing a filtration and bottling plant an industrial permit, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, after obtaining approval from the Water Resources Authority regarding the suitable water source. The ministry emphasized the necessity of complying with the conditions specified by the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Economy and Industry, ensuring no harm to the water supply and adherence to the specified standards for filtered water in terms of quality and manufacturing conditions. This decision was made based on public interest, free market economy policy, and the elimination of monopolies and exclusivity of public sector facilities in this field.
