The General Authority of Land and Maritime Ports signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company "Fidi Contracting" on Thursday to fully invest in the free zone in Hasya, Homs. The memorandum allows the Chinese company to invest in the entire free zone in Hasya, Homs, covering approximately 850,000 square meters to establish a comprehensive industrial zone with specialized factories and production facilities. The company is also permitted to invest in 300,000 square meters of the free zone in Adra, Rif Dimashq, to solidify commercial and service projects that meet the requirements of the local and regional markets. The contract duration is 20 years, with the investing company committed to implementing project phases according to a specific timeline to ensure economic feasibility and enhance the role of free zones as drivers of development and attraction of foreign direct investments.
