Syrian Energy Minister: An agreement has been reached to expedite the rehabilitation process of the 400-kilovolt line connecting Turkey and Syria to put it into service as soon as possible.

The Syrian Minister of Energy, Mohammad Al-Bashir, said today, Thursday, "I was pleased today to receive Mr. Alp Arslan, the Turkish Minister of Energy, on his first visit to Syria after the victory of the Syrian revolution."

He added in a post on the "X" platform, "We signed a protocol of mutual cooperation in the energy sector to serve the interests of both countries' peoples."

He continued, "I agreed with the Turkish Minister of Energy to double efforts to complete the gas pipeline connecting Kilis and Aleppo to supply power stations with the equivalent of 6 million cubic meters of gas daily."

He mentioned that they agreed to expedite the rehabilitation process of the 400-kilometer pipeline connecting Turkey and Syria to put it into service as soon as possible.

He concluded by saying, "Securing gas supplies through the gas pipeline and completing the extension of the 400-kilometer pipeline will contribute to increasing the hours of electricity operation in Syria, which will have a positive impact on the living conditions of our people in all Syrian provinces."
