Minister of Health, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, inaugurated the children's department at Al-Qalamoun Hospital in Al-Nabek city, rural Damascus, today, which includes 20 fully equipped beds. Dr. Al-Ali emphasized the importance of collaboration with the local community in developing and supporting the healthcare sector, indicating that this successful experience in Al-Nabek will be replicated in other hospitals in Syria, in conjunction with a national project to establish a model hospital in each province. The minister highlighted President Ahmed Al-Sharaa's interest in ensuring the people's basic rights, especially the right to health, stating that launching the children's department under the care of the children themselves is a message of hope for Syria's future. Dr. Al-Ali also revealed the Ministry of Health's collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to develop technology programs that serve the healthcare sector and patients. Governor of Rural Damascus, Mr. Amer Al-Sheikh, praised the new achievement, affirming that the efforts of the local community contributed to Syria's transition from emergency to stability, emphasizing the collective responsibility and synergy between the government and society. Director of Health in Rural Damascus, Dr. Tawfiq Hesab, explained that the children's department consists of 20 beds, in addition to rooms for examination, evaluation, and emergency care, highlighting the department's visual identity that enhances the child's psyche and contributes to their recovery. He confirmed that the next step will be the opening of similar departments in Al-Qutaifa and Harasta hospitals, with a special focus on intensive care and incubators. Dr. Tamim Al-Maghribi, a representative of the local community, stated that the hospital is a living testimony to the resilience and determination of the Syrian people towards life and dignity, reflecting the commitment to reconstruction and state institution-building, stressing the necessity of collaboration between the public and private sectors to uplift society and preserve citizens' dignity. The opening was attended by Minister of Education, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman Turk, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdulsalam Haykal, Assistant Minister of Health, Dr. Hussein Al-Khatib, as well as several directors and officials.
