The Higher Committee for People's Assembly Elections Appoints Members of its Legal Committee to Monitor the 2025 Electoral Process

The Higher Committee for People's Assembly Elections announced today, Sunday, the issuance of Decision No. (1) appointing members of its legal committee, which operates under the direct supervision of the Higher Committee.
The appointed committee is responsible for providing legal consultations, preparing legal proposals, and monitoring the legality of the electoral process procedures.
The decision stated that based on the provisions of the internal regulations of the Higher Committee issued by Presidential Decree No. (66) of 2025, and in consideration of public interest, the following was decided:
Article 1:
The legal committee shall be composed as follows:
- Mr. Tarek Al-Kurdi – Specialization in Constitutional Law
- Mr. Tarek Nahas – Specialization in Administrative Law
- Ms. Sameera Al-Wattar – Specialization in Private Law
- Mr. Ahmed Qannout – Specialization in International Law
- Mr. Abdullah Al-Ajmi – Specialization in International and Humanitarian Law
Article 2:
The legal committee shall, in accordance with the internal regulations, provide legal consultations, formulate legal proposals, and oversee the legality of the electoral process procedures.
