Minister Qabwat on an Inspection Visit to the 'Amal' Organization for People with Disabilities

The Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Hind Qabwat, visited today, Sunday, the work progress and services provided at the Syrian organization for people with disabilities 'Amal'.

The tour included service centers in the organization, such as the auditory investigations center, speech and language evaluation center, examination and diagnosis committee, educational center for auditory disabilities, autism center, as well as observing the installation of external devices for five children with auditory disabilities who recently underwent cochlear implant surgeries, experiencing hearing for the first time in their lives.

Qabwat emphasized in a statement to SANA correspondent that the ministry places great importance on caring for children with disabilities and providing necessary services to enable their integration into society, enhance their rights, by supporting activities and programs offered by associations and organizations concerned with the issue of disabilities, seeking to provide financial and logistical support, discussing challenges, and developing plans and programs in this field.

Minister Qabwat highlighted the importance of supporting the organization's work to fulfill its role in providing medical and rehabilitation services, stressing the necessity of collaboration between the ministries of social affairs, labor, education, health to support this national project.
