Tension in Quneitra countryside after the establishment of an Israeli checkpoint

The Syrian "Al-Ikhbariya" channel reported that the Israeli occupation forces established a military checkpoint today, Saturday, between the towns of Ofania and Jabata al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside.  

According to sources, the Israeli force stopped passersby and searched vehicles, amid intimidating practices against the locals, before continuing its deployment in the area.  

This development comes in the context of a series of repeated violations carried out by the occupation in southern Syria, in clear violation of the 1974 separation of forces agreement, which prohibits any Israeli military presence in these areas.
