Syrian Minister of Local Administration and Environment and Qatari Ambassador Discuss Enhancing Mutual Cooperation

The Minister of Local Administration and Environment in the Syrian Arab Republic, Engineer Mohammad Arnous, met with the Ambassador of Qatar to Syria, Khalifa Abdullah Al Mahmoud Al Sharif, yesterday at the ministry headquarters in Damascus to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations in the fields of local administration and environment.
Minister Arnous emphasized during the meeting the Syrian government's keenness to enhance cooperation with the Qatari side in areas of mutual interest, such as municipal projects, digital platforms, and workforce development programs, contributing to improving the quality of local administration projects.
Arnous said: "There is a need to evaluate national experiences and develop projects, programs, activities, technical and technological committees for future practical implementation, especially since local administration is unique as it is in direct contact with citizens."
In turn, the Qatari ambassador expressed his country's readiness to provide technical support and coordinate joint efforts, emphasizing the importance of exchanging visits between experts from both sides to enhance common interests.
