Syrian Minister of Information: Ministry Takes Responsibility to Confront Incitement and Hatred Speech

Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Mustafa, stressed the importance of adhering to a unifying national discourse to confront the hatred speech left by the ousted regime in Syria, which was exploited by the terrorist organization "ISIS".
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted Minister Hamza as saying, "ISIS, which carried out the treacherous terrorist bombing at the Mar Elias Church in the Dwelaa area of Damascus yesterday, Sunday, thrives on hatred speech, incitement, and the social and sectarian divisions sown by the ousted regime over 14 years.
Mustafa pointed out that the Ministry bears great responsibility in adopting a unifying national discourse based on ethical and professional foundations, and following different media strategies to confront this speech based on incitement, deception, and spreading rumors, in cooperation with unions and media outlets.
