Azerbaijan condemned today, Monday, the terrorist bombing that targeted the Church of Mar Elias in the Dwelaa neighborhood of Damascus yesterday.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its "X" platform: "We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on the Church of Mar Elias in Damascus, and offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected".
It added: "We stand in solidarity with Syria, both its government and people, and call for unity in confronting extremism".
