Syrian Health Minister, Dr. Nizar Yazigi, met on Wednesday with Kuwaiti Health Minister, Dr. Basel Al-Sabah, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the health sector.
During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, the two sides discussed ways to support and develop the health sector in Syria, enhance bilateral cooperation in healthcare, exchange experiences, and provide technical support.
Dr. Yazigi emphasized the importance of Arab solidarity in the health sector, expressing appreciation for Kuwait's humanitarian role in supporting health and development issues in the region.
Minister Al-Sabah welcomed cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Health, confirming Kuwait's readiness to enhance joint coordination and provide possible support for the benefit of the Syrian people and the health sector in the country.
