A specialized technical team affiliated with the German airline group "Lufthansa" conducted a routine evaluation tour at Damascus International Airport on Wednesday, as a prelude to completing the procedures for resuming air operations between Syria and Germany. The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Syrian Air Transport was quoted by the SANA agency as saying that the tour organized for the team comes within the efforts to meet the needs of the Syrian community abroad, especially in Germany, with the aim of completing the procedures for resuming air traffic between the two countries. The authority explained that part of the visit was dedicated to holding an extensive meeting between the two sides, during which the proposed action plan and the timetable for the resumption stages were discussed to ensure the highest safety and technical efficiency standards.
