The Syrian artist Souad Omar has passed away, having portrayed various roles in Syrian drama productions over decades.
The Syrian Artists Syndicate mourned Omar without disclosing details about the cause or place of death, as well as the location of the condolences.
Condolences were offered by her colleagues in the artistic community, including Taysir Idris, Ghada Bashour, and Sahar Fawzi, who mourned her departure.
Souad Omar, who began her career in the 1990s, participated in prominent drama productions such as "Al Jawarih," "Jawad Al Layl," and "Sahar Al Sharq."
The late artist was known for her role as "Um Mahmoud" in the first part of the series "Khan Al Harir," where she starred alongside Syrian drama stars of that time, like Jamal Suliman, Salim Sabri, Bassam Kousa, and the late Omar Hajjou.
