Syria ranked third among the cheapest countries to live in for the year 2025 according to the "Numbeo" website, which focuses on the cost of living levels in countries around the world.

The website stated in its statistics that "Syria came in third as the cheapest Arab country in terms of groceries, restaurants, rent, and local purchasing power".

According to the statistics, "Libya ranked first as the cheapest Arab country to live in, followed by Egypt in second place, then Syria in third, Algeria in fourth, Iraq in fifth, Tunisia in sixth, Morocco in seventh, and Jordan in eighth".

It also noted that "the most expensive Arab countries to live in for the year 2025 were the UAE, followed by Yemen, then Qatar, and Bahrain".
