Stabbing incident in Haifa, northern Israel.. The perpetrator is a Druze youth.

Israeli media reported today, Monday, March 3, 2025, the killing of one person and the injury of at least 5 others, including two critical cases, in a stabbing and shooting incident at the Central Bus Station in Haifa Bay, northern Israel.
Sources indicated that the perpetrator of the attack is a 20-year-old Druze youth named Petros Shahin, from the city of Shefa Amr, holding both Israeli and German nationalities, with no criminal record.
According to Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, the young man stabbed several passengers at the bus station before moving inside and continuing his attack, leading to him being shot by security forces who later announced his "neutralization." The background or motives of the incident have not been disclosed yet.
This incident comes amid escalating regional tensions related to the Druze in Syria, where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced days ago that the Israeli army is prepared to protect the Druze-majority Syrian city of Jaramana, stating that Israel "will not allow the Syrian regime to harm the Druze in the Damascus countryside."
In response to Netanyahu's statements, the spokesman for the "Dignity Men" movement in Syria, Bassam Abu Fakhr, condemned these statements, affirming that "Syria is our compass and we stand with the state's institutions." Former President of the Progressive Socialist Party in Lebanon, Walid Jumblatt, also commented, saying that "those who united Syria during the days of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash will not respond to Netanyahu's calls."
