SpaceX Invests Two Billion Dollars in Emerging xAI for Artificial Intelligence

SpaceX announced an investment of two billion dollars in the emerging xAI company in the field of artificial intelligence, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, in one of the largest foreign investment deals for the company.
According to a report published by the Wall Street Journal on Saturday, July 12, this investment represents about half of the funding recently raised by xAI, which amounted to 5 billion dollars.
This move came after the merger of xAI with the X platform, in a deal valued at approximately 113 billion dollars for both companies. The report noted that the conversation robot "Grok", developed by xAI, is now being used to support Starlink services and is seen as a future tool for integration into Tesla's Optimus robots.
On the other hand, the Financial Times revealed in a report on Friday, July 11, citing close sources, that xAI is preparing to raise additional funding from investors in a deal that could raise its market value to 200 billion dollars.
It is worth mentioning that xAI launched the chat robot "Grok" as a competitor in the artificial intelligence market, which saw a significant surge after the success of ChatGPT from OpenAI in 2022.
In a related context, Morgan Stanley reported that xAI raised 10 billion dollars in early July through a mix of debt instruments and equity investments.
