Shooting inside "Amazon" facility in Georgia ends with the death of the gunman

U.S. authorities reported on Monday that a gunman was killed following a shooting incident at an "Amazon" facility in Columbus, Georgia.

The police stated that the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the eastern side of the city, noting that no other deaths or injuries were reported.

A statement from the Columbus Police Department indicated that the violent crimes unit has begun an investigation to gather information and clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The city of Columbus is located about 161 kilometers southwest of Atlanta.
