Determining the date of the opening match between the Syrian and Pakistani national teams in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

The Asian Football Confederation has announced the details of the opening match of the Syrian national team in the qualifiers for the 2027 Asian Cup. The team will play their first match against Pakistan in the first round of qualifiers in Group F.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Ahsa region, Saudi Arabia, on the 25th of this month, at 9:00 PM Damascus time.

This match was at risk of cancellation after FIFA immediately suspended the Pakistan Football Federation due to its failure to conduct fair and democratic elections in line with FIFA standards. However, the suspension was lifted after the Pakistan Football Federation met the conditions set by both FIFA and the AFC, allowing the match to proceed as planned.
