Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, received a phone call today, Saturday, from French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the two sides discussed the results of the high-level international conference to resolve the Palestinian issue through peaceful means, co-chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.
During the call, coordination was made regarding the resumption of the conference at the summit level on September 22, 2025, as part of supporting international efforts to end the war in Gaza and achieve tangible progress towards establishing an independent Palestinian state.
The two parties also noted the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the New York Declaration issued by the conference, which received a wide majority vote, reflecting the growing international consensus in support of the two-state solution.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Macron indicated that the increasing number of countries that have announced their intention to recognize the Palestinian state is a clear indication of the global desire to achieve just and lasting peace and to ensure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
